A flaky, vanilla flavored treat originating from High Germany. (“Kipferl” means “crescent” .. the crescent shape is said to have been introduced in Austrian baking to celebrate the lifting of the Siege of Vienna.)
Our Kipferl cookies are made with spelt and almond flour, a generous quantity of butter, flavored with real vanilla, and sweetened with confectioners sugar. The result is a light, buttery cookie that will practically melt in your mouth.
We sell them at the Lewisburg Farmers Market on Wednesday, 8:00 to 3:00. Also look for them periodically at Bloom Naturally.
